PC Roadshows were featured in the October / November 2020 edition of Your North West Wedding Magazine.
The Hot Topic for this month was ‘Wedding Worries’. In this informative regular feature run by Your North West Wedding Magazine wedding suppliers are asked real questions posed by bride and grooms with the suppliers giving expert advice and thoughts to answer these questions.
We were asked:-
We’re looking for entertainment that will be appeal to guests of all ages. Do you have any suggestions?
A – There are lots of types of entertainment available for weddings from DJ’s to singers, bands, entertainment during the day, evening entertainment. The choice is vast. Why not start by making a list of what is important to you and what you want from your entertainment. Then talk to people, friends, family, wedding entertainers, go to wedding fayres to discuss your ideas. The best wedding entertainers will be more than happy to discuss your ideas with you, often they will be happy to meet up with also. Why not also consult with other suppliers you have already booked, the florist, photographer etc. You already have a relationship with them and are helping you to plan you day. They also see weddings on a regular basis and will have seen lots of great ideas.
Sometimes a ‘one size fits all’ might not be the answer. I entertained at a wedding in 2019 where the bride and groom had a singer during the meal singing love songs, classics, lots of oldies. A fun party band who played all those wedding classic floor filling songs. Then the DJ, later in the evening who played a more up to date range of music creating more of a night club feel appealing to the younger guests. The result a bit of something for everyone during the day. Professional wedding entertainers will often relish the opportunity to work with other entertainers to create a fun atmosphere for all.
Remember your wedding entertainment will spend more time with and engage the most with you and your guests on your wedding day than any other wedding supplier. Read reviews, get recommendations, and talk to wedding entertainers in depth. Ask them their ideas and thoughts. Then choose the entertainer(s) that are right for you.
